Overview:

Our Legal Talent team's Law Student Recruiting Coordinator will be responsible for full-cycle 1L & 2L recruitment efforts, for the New York and New England (Boston, Hartford & Providence) offices of our 1,600+ attorney/30+ office firm.  This unique position involves working closely with a seasoned Law Student Recruiting Manager on tailored and proactively "hands-on" efforts related to: student outreach, firm branding/campus relations, OCI/career fair and callback interviewing (both in-person and virtual), decision-making, execution of multiple summer programs (of varying sizes), as well as follow-through entry-level associate integration. The Coordinator will play a key role in the early identification, pre-interviewing & selection, hiring, individualized summer program experience, and onboarding/offboarding of 1L & 2L students for the offices above.  Ample opportunities for travel are part of this distinctive role within a collaborative, greater national Legal Talent team.

Responsibilities:

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Maintain impeccable applicant records, ensure data integrity, and prepare statistics (via the ViRecruit applicant tracking system) for bespoke summer classes of approximately 6-8 in both NY and BOS; as well as smaller programs of 1-2 in Providence and Hartford.

Coordinate 'high-touch" (virtual and in-person) interview experiences, travel logistics, reimbursement requests, "courtship" efforts, offer letters, and other communications with law schools, student groups, CSOs and student candidates.
Support simultaneous summer associate programs, including onboarding administration, tracking and reviewing summer associate assignments/explorative workflow and evaluations, creative event planning and attendance, and budget tracking.
Assist with all aspects of law school on-campus interviews (OCI), including registrations, career fairs, candidate pre-selection, preparing materials for attorneys and students, planning receptions, and preparing callback schedules and other relationship-building logistics for candidates.
Assist with firm representation at targeted pre-recruiting & outreach activities, including CSO & student-group panels, workshops and events.
Support the New York & New England regional Recruiting Committees, including scheduling and attending meetings, developing agendas, and supporting Committee Chairs in developing innovative methods for recruitment & brand-building.

Qualifications:

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with all levels of personnel, across departments and cross-office.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint or Canva.
Familiarity with ViRecruit database, preferred.
Strong work ethic, ambition, intellectual curiosity and ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
Ability to work independently, strategically and collaboratively.
Strong organizational skills, problem solving skills, and attention to detail.
Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment, juggle multiple assignments, and work responsibly under pressure.
Ability to accommodate a flexible work schedule that will occasionally require travel and extended hours.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s degree required.
Minimum of two (2) years of recruiting or related experience in a law firm or other professional services setting strongly preferred.
Experience with applicant tracking systems preferred.
