The Recruiting Coordinator will assist in the daily functions of law school recruiting and will report to the Manager of Law Student Recruiting.


  • Support the Chicago office regarding all aspects of the law school recruiting program
    (summer, fall, etc.) and associate-focused programs
  • Coordinate venue logistics such as contract, budget, menu, room set-up etc. and calendaring for Chicago Recruiting/Development events
  • Plan and participate in Law School Hiring Committee Meetings and Social Committee Meetings with the Firms’ Attorneys
  • Document and prepare all correspondence for the offices (decline letters, database tracking)
  • Work with Head of Attorney Development and the Firm’s CLE Manager on an as needed basis to coordinate development and in-house CLE programs, as well as coordinate logistics for those meetings on an as needed basis
  • Assist with preparation for new attorney arrival and integration
  • Create, track and maintain office recruiting budget, check requests and attorney reimbursements
  • Track and report statistical data to the Recruiting Manager with respect to recruiting and development efforts
  • Work with the Lateral Recruiting department on an as needed basis to assist with Lateral Interview and Feedback process; assist with lateral orientation and integration for Chicago office on an as needed basis
  • Participate as a member of recruiting team to provide assistance to other members of the team on recruiting/associate development projects as needed
  • Actively serve in NALP and the city-wide recruiting organization


  • Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • 2 + years previous law firm experience in recruiting, marketing or development with event management preferred or other professional services firm
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite including PowerPoint and Excel
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Excellent communication, time management and organization skills
  • Possess the ability to work cohesively with all positions of the firm

Additional Information:

Work Environment – This position operates in a professional office environment.

Position Type/Expected Work Hours – This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:45 a.m. to 5:15 p.m. For the majority of the year, occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. However, during the summer program and fall interview season, overtime is likely.

Travel – Some travel is expected for this position.
