Proskauer seeks a dedicated Professional Resources Coordinator to join its Professional Resources team in Los Angeles. Working with the Associate Director of Training and Development, the Coordinator will further the Firm's strategic objective of training, developing and retaining highly accomplished and dedicated professionals.


Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Attorney Orientation and Off-Boarding – LA Office

  • Administer attorney on-boarding procedures
  • Coordinate initial orientation of new associates and laterals
  • Administer off-boarding procedures

Attorney Training Programs – LA Office

  • Coordinate all Los Angeles-originated training and delivery
  • Coordinate training originated in offices outside of Los Angeles
  • Arrange for programs with third party vendors
  • Liaise with PLI on Los Angele s roster and program requests
  • Assist with the resolution of CLE issues in conjunction with Manager of Professional Resources in New York
  • Track attorney CLE credits for internal and external programs and monitor compliance

Attorney Evaluations – LA Office

  • Facilitate the administration of attorney evaluations
  • Support Department Legal Directors during mid-year and year-end evaluation processes
  • Assist attorneys with any interim reviews or other performance issues

Associate Mentoring and Morale

  • Regularly meet with associates to monitor morale and ensure that they are receiving appropriate experience
  • Coordinate Mentor Program in the Los Angeles office
  • Assist with the development, implementation, and coordination of associate development initiatives and events

Attorney Development Budgets

  • Track spending and approve reimbursements for Professional Development related expenses, such as bar applications and admission, professional memberships, training and business development programs
  • Monitor relevant client matter numbers and GL accounts and participate in budget planning, as requested


  • Support Firm's Diversity initiatives, events, and attorney affinity groups

Corporate Social Responsibility

  • Support Firm's CSR initiatives and events


  • Support Firm's Recruiting initiatives and events



  • Bachelor's Degree and at least two to three years of experience at a large law firm
  • Strong leadership and project management skills, a commitment to diversity and excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills. Attention to detail is essential
  • Must be flexible, results oriented, self-motivated, organized, and able to multi-task when needed as well as effectively prioritize competing demands on time and attention
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel). Experience with Adobe, viDesktop, and Micron a plus
  • Must be available to work overtime as needed in order to meet the demands of the position and of the Firm
