Overview:

This position will be primarily responsible for handling all legal training content, summer associate training, and CLE accreditation and delivery. This role will also leverage our learning management system and other technologies to make learning more accessible to our legal professionals. This position is part of our Attorney Development team and will report to the Senior Manager of Professional Development.

Collaboration with team members is an important component of any role at Mintz. Therefore, the firm encourages working from the office approximately 60% of the time in accordance with the firm’s published guidelines.

Responsibilities:

  • Working with the Senior Professional Development Manager to design, manage, and evaluate all legal training content and summer associate training;
  • Serving as a main communication contact for faculty, including attending planning meetings and working with attorneys to enhance and curate training content;
  • Managing the calendar for all MLPD programming and handling related communications with Section Managers, Practice Managers, and faculty;
  • Assisting with the implementation of the firm’s Non-Discrimination/Non-Harassment training, including quarterly new hire trainings and rolling out new eLearning retrain modules;
  • Collaborating with internal IT professionals and the Professional Development Coordinator to design a technology plan to support hybrid training;
  • Assisting with the planning and coordination of business development programs, including workshops, individual coaching, and group cohorts;
  • Overseeing the process of CLE credit delivery and managing the firm’s CLE Accreditations, maintaining good relationships with relevant CLE Boards, managing content delivery to preserve Accredited Provider status in relevant jurisdictions, advising attorneys on firm policy and state rules for fulfillment of CLE requirements, and working directly with business development colleagues on CLE programs for clients and targets
  • Serving as the main point of contact for Practicing Law Institute (PLI), including managing the delivery of content internally and extending the PLI benefits to client contacts;
  • Working with the Senior Manager of Professional Development to review training hours for all legal professionals and make distinctions between creditable and recordable allocations;
  • Developing and managing content for the MintzPort Professional Development site and the Learning Management System interface;
  • Coordinating the logistics and events for multi-day litigation skills programs and career development programs and serving as a contact for attendees, faculty, and vendors;
  • Identifying new content, providers, and programming via attendance at conferences, and webinars;
  • Collaborating with the Professional Development Coordinator;
  • Maintaining a high-level of professionalism and client service in all interpersonal interactions;
  • Keeping abreast of professional development trends for attorneys and making recommendations about program creation;
  • Other projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 3+ years of experience in professional development, preferably within a professional services firm or law firm is desired;
  • Excellent interpersonal, team, and verbal and written communications skills, with ability to be effective at all levels;
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects at once;
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Must be an independent and proactive self-starter
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Experience with the CLE and viDesktop suite is preferred but not required.
