Overview:

Kasowitz Benson Torres LLP is looking to hire a college graduate for an entry level Legal Recruiting Assistant to join our Recruiting team.  This candidate will focus on all aspects of law school recruiting and various industry surveys.  Additionally, this candidate will assist with aspects of lateral recruiting, the summer program and miscellaneous projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Handle various logistics of the on-campus interview process by registering for OCI (On Campus Interviews) and confirming interview dates, pre-screen resumes, resume collects, interviewer material preparation, applicant tracking, correspondence, offer outstanding logistics/receptions and maintain, update and analyze OCI statistics.
  • Plan 1L outreach efforts.
  • Build and maintain relationships with school career services.
  • Handle various industry surveys.
  • Assist with lateral recruiting logistics.
  • Assist with various aspects of the Summer Program, as needed.
  • Support Legal Recruiting Department with miscellaneous projects and tasks, as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree required.
  • Ability to organize, multitask, manage, maintain and prioritize departmental processes/projects, deadlines and projects effectively in a high-pressure and fast-paced environment, both independently and on a team.
  • Maintain confidentiality, professionalism, and judgment regarding sensitive matters.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Ability to deal effectively and professionally with all levels of legal and professional staff, candidates, head-hunters, school placement officers.
  • Must be highly motivated, exhibit creativity in approach to work, flexible and detail/results-oriented.
  • Flexibility to limited travel (subject to pandemic) and extended hours to meet needs of department.
  • Maintain and research market industry standards.
  • Display an interest in and commitment to the firm’s success.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and ability to learn new software and operating systems.
