Overview:

We are seeking a Legal Recruiting Coordinator with exceptional organizational skills, professionalism, and drive to join our growing Legal Recruiting Team. Reporting to the Manager of Associate Recruiting, and the Associate Director of Lateral Recruiting and Strategic Growth, the Legal Recruiting Coordinator will play a crucial role supporting processes for on-campus recruiting and summer programs, as well as recruiting and onboarding entry-level associates, lateral associates and partners, and other legal professionals firm-wide. The ideal candidate will bring initiative, sound judgement, and a strong client service mindset to accurately represent the firm to candidates, and further the legacy of attracting and recruiting top-tier legal talent.

Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate law student and lawyer recruitment processes, including, among other things, reviewing and assessing submissions and business plans, greeting candidates and scheduling interviews and meetings, assisting with travel arrangements, collecting and analyzing feedback, developing candidate recruitment plans, and regularly communicating with candidates, search firm and agency representatives, and Firm partners.
  • Assist with onboarding process to ensure a smooth transition to the Firm for legal hires, including, among other things, developing and executing onboarding efforts and orientation programs in consultation with Firm leadership and other stakeholders, liaising and collaborating with colleagues in business services departments such as HR, Operations, Conflicts, Professional Development and Business Development, and serving as a resource to new hires during their transition.
  • Consult with Chief Legal Recruiting Officer, Associate Director of Lateral Recruiting, Manager of Associate recruiting, Firm management, and Diversity, Equity & Inclusion professionals to develop recruitment initiatives that support and advance the Firm's diversity commitment and goals.
  • Plan and attend various recruitment activities for both student and experienced lateral candidates (on-campus programming and receptions, on-campus and callback interviews, callback and offer dinners, etc.).
  • Alongside Manager of Associate Recruiting, act as the Firm’s liaison with law school career services offices and student groups and facilitate Firm participation at law school events throughout the academic year.
  • Coordinate and review interview feedback and support needs of the Hiring Committee in preparation for meetings and offer decisions, including preparing candidate packets for Hiring Committee meetings.
  • In collaboration with the Chief Legal Recruiting Officer and Manager of Associate Recruiting, assist with planning and execution of the Firm’s summer associate program, including tracking and reviewing summer associate assignments and evaluations, assisting with event planning, sending event reminders and tracking RSVPs, attending summer associate social events and training sessions, and preparing materials for summer associate reviews.
  • Collaborate on updates to social media and other marketing materials related to on-campus and lateral recruitment, and facilitate updates to the legal recruiting webpage.
  • Assist with market research and developing candidate target lists for strategic lateral hiring priorities, and track candidate outreach and due diligence efforts.
  • Assist in the preparation and management of budget categories that are directly relevant to lateral partner/counsel recruitment.
  • Maintain candidate recruiting data and metrics, and prepare reports and analysis as needed.
  • Handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
  • Represent the Firm in local and national legal recruiting organizations.
  • Keep abreast of key market issues and trends. Track information and analyze competitive data, best practices and trends to provide strategic recommendations to recruiting team and Firm leadership in alignment with the Firm’s strategic recruitment goals.
  • Other projects and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Minimum of 3+ years of legal recruiting/talent management experience in a law firm, recruiting agency, or other professional services setting, preferably with partner or executive-level recruiting.
  • Strong client service mindset and skills, with proven organizational and time management skills.
  • Attention to detail, and ability to prioritize and multi-task effectively in a fast-paced environment in order to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Strong research skills, with ability to analyze and synthesize research findings.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact effectively with people at all levels, using initiative, diplomacy and tact.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively with others across departments and functions.
  • Ability to accommodate a flexible work schedule that will occasionally require travel and extended hours.
  • Ability to exercise good judgment and to recognize and keep confidential information, observations or viewpoints in a professional manner.
  • Proficiency in the use of computer programs, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and applicant tracking system/database programs (e.g., LawCruit, FloRecruit).

Compensation range is $73,000.00 to $105,000.00 commensurate with related experience and qualification. The salary of the candidate selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to internal equity, experience, specialty, and training. The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the firm's reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
