Overview:

Dechert LLP is seeking a Temporary Recruitment Assistant. The Recruitment Assistant will provide administrative support to the department that manages all aspects of the summer, and entry level hiring.  This position has responsibility to support summer program and on-campus interviewing (OCI) preparation, execution, and follow-up, among other Legal Recruiting-related duties.

Job Description

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Offer administrative assistance within the Legal Recruiting Department to perform day-to-day activities, including but not limited to: updating candidate files, scheduling callback interviews, greeting callback candidates, preparing offer and rejection letters, and updating LawCruit profiles and status.
OCI

Assist in firm-wide preparation of OCI materials for attorney interviewers, including interview binders, evaluation forms, and hiring guidelines.
Mail marketing materials and supplies for on-campus interviews, as needed.
Assist in set-up of local OCI hospitality suites/tables and job fairs.
Prepare check requests and submit credit card reimbursements.
Answer phones and schedule callback candidates.
Help set-up hiring committee meetings including compiling review packets, making and tracking room reservations and meal requests.
Alert interviewing attorneys of candidates who receive offers.
Help maintain up-to-date applicant statuses in LawCruit.
Assist in setting up offer dinners/receptions (putting together marketing materials, making and setting up nametags).
Liaise with Word Processing and copy center to create, copy, and finish large documents.

Summer Program
Help set-up summer committee meetings including compiling review packets, making and tracking room reservations and meal requests.
Prepare end-of-summer review packets (resumes, transcripts, & evaluations) for hiring decisions.
Assist NY Manager and Coordinator with events (nametags, set-up, etc.)
Prepare check requests and expense reimbursements.
Liaise with Word Processing and copy center to create, copy, and finish large documents.

Qualifications:

Extreme strength in multi-tasking and ability to prioritize own work
Detail-oriented and shows initiative.
Positive attitude.
Good oral and written communication skills
Ability to communicate professionally and diplomatically
Good grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension
Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and database systems
Ability to juggle multiple tasks
Ability to learn new skills as they become necessary
Ability to function in a collaborative organization and be a team player.
Good organizational skills.
Ability to analyze data and work with statistical information.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Equipment: computer and duplicating machines.
Systems required: Word, Excel, iManage, LawCruit; PowerPoint preferred
Bachelor’s degree.
Law Firm experience preferred.
