Role purpose
The Lateral Attorney Recruitment & Staff Specialist works with all staff and non-partner experienced attorney recruiting for the firm.  Under the supervision of the Recruitment Senior Manager and Manager, the Specialist will be tasked with developing and executing key initiatives in support of the Firm's strategic goals with respect to hiring, onboarding and integrating experienced staff and lateral attorneys across the U.S. offices, Toronto and Sao Paulo.

Responsibilities:

Role and responsibilities
• Proactively drive recruiting and onboarding process for experienced candidates for staff and non-partner attorney openings across the firm’s U.S. offices.
• Coordinate and facilitate interview process: Correspond directly with external and internal stakeholders; Work with recruitment coordinators and admin team to create and communicate interview meeting invites, schedules, and internal confirmation emails; Handle meeting logistics; Organize, track, and disseminate information for candidates and interviewers; and collate and track feedback in timely manner.
• Track, analyze, report on, and refine recruitment metrics and outcomes, advance data-gathering efforts.
• Develop job postings and source candidates through various methods including internal referrals and recruiters as well as other recruiting venues (e.g., LinkedIn, social media, job boards, etc.).
• Work with Recruitment coordinators to create LinkedIn and candidate engagement plan for wider recruitment team.
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with local search firm recruiters and regularly communicate the firm’s lateral hiring needs.
• Manage the hiring process including reviewing candidate resumes, screening candidates, coordinating interview schedules, assessing evaluations.
• Collaborate with HR, Professional Development department and other stakeholders to develop and manage orientation and onboarding program for lateral hires.
• Supervise and contribute to professional development of the Legal Recruiting Coordinators and Administrators.
• Other projects and responsibilities as assigned.

Team
This individual will report directly to the Lateral Recruitment Senior Manager and will work closely with other members of the US HR team.

Qualifications:

Key requirements
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Minimum of 4 years of legal recruiting/talent management experience in a law firm or other professional services setting required.
• Direct sourcing experience a plus.
• Sophisticated strategic and analytical thinking, drive, initiative, and problem-solving skills required.
• Proven organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability prioritize and multi-task effectively.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact effectively with personnel at all levels.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
• Ability to accommodate a flexible work schedule that will occasionally require travel and extended hours.
• Ability to exercise good judgment and to recognize and treat confidential information in a professional

This role can be based in either the New York or Washington, D.C. office. For individuals assigned to or hired for this opportunity in New York, the estimated annualized base salary range for this position is $94,900 - $115,000. For individuals assigned to or hired for this opportunity in Washington, D.C., the estimated annualized base salary range for this position is $90,000 - $111,100. The actual base salary offered will depend on the overall qualifications of the individual applicant for the position and other job-related factors permitted by law.
