Vedder Price is looking for a Legal Recruiting Assistant. The Legal Recruiting Assistant provides administrative and functional support to the Legal Recruiting team’s attorney-hiring efforts across all offices.  This position involves a high level of interaction with the Firm’s attorneys, prospective attorney candidates, office services departments in all Vedder offices, outside recruiters and law schools, as well as handling many organizational tasks.


As a Legal Recruiting Assistant, your duties will include but not be limited to:

  • Maintain relationships with external recruiters and law school career services contacts
  • Assist with creating and maintaining candidate files
  • Assist with scheduling candidate interviews across all offices, including conference room and videoconference scheduling
  • Maintain and update databases, track open search statuses and other record-keeping tasks
  • Participate in social media initiatives with the Marketing department to promote the Summer Associate Program
  • Assist with word processing tasks
  • Participate in event planning in connection with the Summer Associate Program
  • Process expense reports and check requests
  • Assist on various reports and projects that arise on an as-needed basis

Qualifications & Required Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience required
  • At least 1 year of related law firm experience preferred
  • Position also requires the ability to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines

Computer Skills:

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be proficient in the following software:
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office
