SUMMARY:
Patterson Belknap is seeking a driven, creative, and detail-oriented team player to join our Talent team. This position will provide administrative support with respect to all attorney recruitment efforts across the Firm, and assist with professional development as needed. Additional details are below.
Responsibilities:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support the Chief Talent Officer and the Associate Talent Manager with all aspects of attorney recruiting.
- Support the full-cycle attorney recruiting process for all non-partner attorney hires, including:
- maintaining and entering candidate data in vi;
- coordinating interviews and liaising with attorneys for scheduling;
- greeting and escorting candidates in the office;
- monitoring recruiting email account;
- preparing for and supporting the on-campus recruiting process;
- scheduling interviews;
- updating and preparing materials for hiring partners and Hiring Committee; and
- preparing offer letters.
- Register, organize, and assist with execution of 3L OCI, and process all related invoices.
- Maintain applicant tracking system, including preparing reports.
- Plan and execute recruiting and internal events, including during summer program.
- Coordinate with DEI team for diversity fellowship hiring.
- Work with Associate Talent Manager to maintain the relevant pages of the Firm intranet and website.
- Work with external vendors and coordinate logistics for outside events.
- Assist in the development and execution of interviewer training sessions.
- Maintain and update hiring data and document repository, including firmwide tracking documents and headhunter fee agreements.
-Participate in strategy sessions to further develop the recruiting program.
- Maintain and update calendar of recruiting cycles.
- At the direction of the Associate Talent Manager, update and maintain all clean copies and templates in vi.
- Process expenses for Talent team professional staff.
- Assist with professional development and DEI initiatives and other special projects as needed.
Qualifications:
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 1+ years of legal recruiting experience in a law firm preferred
- Flexibility to work overtime and a willingness to travel
- Dynamic and highly motivated with excellent interpersonal skills
- Strong coordination and event planning skills
- Excellent organizational, written, and oral communication skills
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Display meticulous attention to detail and follow-through, performing tasks accurately and efficiently
- Takes ownership over tasks & demonstrates ability to operate both within a team and autonomously
- Candidates should be highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.)
- Fluency using iManage and viDesktop preferred, but not required.
Additional Information:
The starting base salary range is $60,000 - $70,000, plus competitive benefits and bonus eligibility.
