Overview:

The Legal Recruiting Coordinator will play an integral role in the New York summer associate and on-campus recruiting programs, entry-level and lateral non-partner lawyer hiring efforts.  This individual interfaces regularly with partners, associates, law school representatives and candidates and must be a proactive representative of the firm.  Flexibility for overtime is necessary as evening and weekend work and travel will be required during peak recruiting seasons.

Responsibilities:

Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Support the execution of the local office summer associate program including logistical planning, work assignment tracking, preparing for mid-summer and end-of-summer evaluations, organize and attend summer program social events and other duties associated with the summer program
  • Assist with entry-level and non-partner lateral recruiting initiatives including reviewing and processing resumes, creating interview schedules, collecting feedback, aid in offer process, as well as local onboarding and integration of new hires
  • Maintain applicant information in viDesktop and correspond with candidates
  • Help to organize outreach initiatives, including attending and engaging candidates at 1L recruiting receptions designed to market the firm
  • Process expense reports and check requests, occasionally book travel, and assist with other administrative tasks that may arise
  • Support the Hiring Committee and local office Associate Committee
  • Support the US Director, Legal Recruiting on special projects as needed
  • Work closely with firm-wide members of the Legal Recruiting team and other administrative departments

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • A minimum of two years of experience in a professional services office environment
  • Previous legal recruitment experience is preferred
  • Attention to detail, accuracy, responsiveness and excellent organizational skills
  • Demonstrate good judgment and accountability for delivering excellent service
  • Possess excellent interpersonal and communications skills; both written and oral
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team is essential
  • Professionalism, personal integrity and high degree of confidentiality
  • Flexibility and ability to adapt in an ever changing environment, including the ability to prioritize
  • Advanced user in Microsoft Office
  • Strong computer and technical skills
