Overview:

The Legal Recruiting & Marketing Coordinator is responsible for helping to coordinate marketing and communication efforts related to law student hiring.  The Coordinator will assist in the development of strategies for recruitment and outreach; update marketing materials and website information; and assist with the coordination of campus interview season, including attorney preparation and hospitality suites.  The Coordinator will also assist with summer program planning and execution, as well as support the Professional Development and Diversity and Inclusion teams, as needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and help prepare content for student-facing sections of website to include extranet sites focused on the summer associate and candidate interview experiences
  • Help develop and manage student marketing materials to promote firm message
  • Liaise closely with Business Development in the authorship, customization and implementation of written materials, website content and event invitations
  • Maintain and prepare firm information for campus interviewers to ensure internal messaging is consistent with overall strategy
  • Coordinate details for hospitality suites and related projects as needed, during OCI season; travel to various law schools to assist with on-site logistics, as needed
  • Assist with optimizing the candidate interview experience including callback scheduling and follow-up
  • Assist in implementing communication plans for all candidates invited for interviews and receiving offers
  • Execute event planning initiatives including offer dinners, callback and 1L receptions, deployment of 3L former summers, as well such special events as an annual 1L summer reception targeting top-ranked law schools
  • Collaborate with Legal Recruiting teammates on various aspects of summer program planning and execution, such as assignment staffing, interacting with summers and participation in events/programming
  • Generate fresh ideas and manage distribution of promotional items related to recruitment efforts, including rewards or gifts across various stages of the process
  • Prepare and manage all survey responses in which the firm participates (e.g. Vault, Chambers, etc.)
  • Collect and compile feedback from incoming and outgoing summer associates, regarding marketing and recruiting efforts
  • Remain cognizant of and report on peer firm intelligence and market trends
  • Work closely with Diversity, Equity & Inclusion team to keep firm-wide diversity efforts at the forefront
  • Collaborate on varied projects with Legal Recruiting Managers, Legal Personnel and Professional Development departments, as needed
  • Assist with other duties, as assigned

Qualifications:

Required Experience:

  • 2-4 years of experience in a recruiting, personnel and/or business development/marketing environment
  • Ability to build rapport with attorneys and other professional staff. Team-oriented with a client-focus
  • Strong writing and organizational skills with particular attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced professional environment
  • Fluency with MS Office Suite
  • Flexibility to adjust hours to meet departmental needs

Preferred Experience:

  • Legal recruiting experience in a law firm environment
  • 2-4 years related experience in marketing or business communications
  • Comfortable working in web-based database/software, e.g. viRecruit

Required Education:

  • Bachelor's degree required
