Overview:

The coordinator will help plan and coordinate the firm’s recruiting and diversity efforts.  S/he will be responsible for coordinating relevant recruiting/diversity programs and meetings, supporting the firm’s various affinity networks, recruiting efforts for on campus interviewing (OCI) and lateral candidates and assisting in the development and implementation of recruiting and diversity initiatives.

Responsibilities:

Assist with preparation and scheduling of programs and events (summer program events, legal recruiting trainings, heritage month celebrations, speaker series, etc..)
Schedule candidates for their interviews with attorneys in various practice areas.
Log in candidate applications and documents into vi desktop system (including laterals, law clerks, and law school students.)
Work with accounting department to ensure all expenses for Recruiting and Diversity are submitted.
Assist to coordinate and host ten-week summer program for Law School students upon recruitment.
Join attorneys to visit law school campuses and recruit 1L/2L students.
Compile and prepare data for women’s circles and diversity committee opportunities.
Process expense and reimbursement costs.

Qualifications:

Self-starter with a high attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Strong writer, proofreader and editor.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work effectively with a wide-range of lawyers and staff.
Proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Ability to multi-task and generate quality work product in a fast-paced, deadline oriented environment.
Ability to hand confidential information and sensitive matters with discretion and professionalism.

Additional Information:

Education:

BA or equivalent
Up to two years working in a law firm or other professional services firm.
