Overview:

The Lateral Attorney Recruiting Coordinator will be a recruiting professional with excellent communication and organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks.  The lateral attorney hiring process includes but is not limited to:  serving as the contact for senior partners within all practice areas in regard to lateral attorney needs, sourcing candidates through headhunters, arranging interview schedules, updating K&E website with open position information, accurately tracking all candidates, and coordinating orientation process.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate Lateral Attorney Hiring Process
    • Communicate and work closely with partners regarding lateral needs
    • Act as primary contact for lateral candidates throughout interview process
    • Review and process lateral resumes
    • Schedule interviews
    • Follow-up appropriately to collect comments and distribute results
    • Coordinate offer process (offer letter, conflicts check, background check, moving allowance (if applicable), etc.)
    • Act as primary contact for headhunters submitting resumes
    • Maintain firmwide lateral pipeline chart tracking all lateral hires
    • Prepare reports as needed
    • Maintain list of current open positions and keep headhunters apprised of needs
    • Process lateral hire paperwork
    • Coordinate office assignments with the facilities team
    • Draft correspondence to lateral hires with respect to new-hire details
    • Circulate lateral associate welcome memos

Qualifications:

Ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years recruiting experience, preferably in a legal or consulting environment.  The ability to maintain a professional demeanor in all settings is essential.  Degree in related field is a plus.  Flexibility to work overtime is a must.
